Overlooking Manhattan & the East River, the park is maintained by Friends of East 63 (an association of dog owners who volunteer) with financial help from the City Parks Foundation.
Chelsea Waterside Dog Park - Your dog can be king of the hill at the Chelsea Waterside Dog Park. Your four-legged best friend won't come home a mess from this park either because it is a paved surfaces and the large rocks are artificial. However, to your dog, it is all very real and exciting. From mid-April through the beginning of November, there is fresh running water for your pup and there is drainage in the park, so puddles don't accumulate into ponds. There are also doggie pools for your pup to splash in if he wants. This quaint park is located at W 23rd and 11th Street.
Carl Schurz Park - Has two fenced-in runs, the only areas in the park where unleashed dogs can exercise and play. These highly acclaimed runs are the result of efforts by local City officials, NYC Department of Parks and Recreation, and Carl Schurz Park Conservancy.
